  • We're sorry to hear that you're having financial hardship. We understand that membership dues can create a burden during this difficult time and we want to do what we can to help. Please use this form to request consideration of a hardship waiver for your CEC membership dues for the upcoming membership year.

    A few things to note:

    • You must be an active member of CEC for a minimum of one (1) year before applying; expired and/or lapsed memberships are ineligible for the program.
    • This waiver period is valid for one (1) membership year only. It cannot be extended or modified.
    • If approved, your membership will be adjusted at the beginning of your next membership cycle.
    • If approved, during the hardship waiver period, professional journals will be available in electronic format only.
    • If approved, any membership(s) you have in a CEC Special Interest Division will be suspended unless you contact Member Services to make alternative payment arrangements.
    • A membership waiver can only be granted once (1) in any five (5) year period.
    • You must keep your member information updated during this waiver period. We will notify you twice during your membership year to update your information.

  • We understand that some people can pay a little but not the full balance of membership. If you are able to afford to pay a little for membership, we would be happy to assist you with a reduction in dues in lieu of a waiver.

I understand that this waiver is a request and subject to review and approval by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Furthermore, I agree to the following terms and conditions of membership:
